n my last post, I introduced Bangkok’s hidden cafe in blog. If you haven’t read it yet, please make sure you do!
There are many ways you can enjoy night life in Bangkok. Night market is one way, hang out on the roof top bar is another!
Most people would have imagine the night skyscraper scenery when they think of roof top bar. In Bangkok, you can easily find the rooftop bar like that in Sukhumvit and Silom areas. You might want to check this out

But today, I would like to take you another kind of roof top bar, one over looking the Chao Phraya river. You can see 360 degree panoramic river view and the royal palace. I think it’s quite unique!
342 Soi Wat Rakang, Prannok Rd., Siriraj, Bangkoknoi
How to get there
Take BTS to Sapan Taksin then transfer to ferry, easily accessible from Wang Lang (Phan nok) pier
In fact, you have the choice between bus, taxi and Chao Phraya express ferry. I would recommend the ferry because you don’t need to worry about traffic jam
342 Bar is located on the roof top of Baan Wang Lang Boutique Hotel, about 3 mins walk from Phannok Pier. Once you arrive, take the elevator to 5th floor and you will find the bar.
I arrived just a little bit before sunset. Great timing!
Gazing out, you will see Bangkok’s beautiful skyline, the landmarks such as the Grand palace (Wat Phra Kaew) on the opposite side, Wat Arun and of course Chao Phraya river.
As you can see it was quite cloudy and soon rain started to pour. Great thing about night view is, no matter how gloomy the sky is, you can still see beautiful night scenery.
For early bird, all cocktails are half price before 6PM. Check out 342 bar FB page for new promotions.
If you are hungry, there are few things on the menu such as club sandwich, Tuna tataki, seafood dish, sausages etc.
You can order some real food such as fried rice from restaurant on the 2nd floor.
As the sun set, the scenery become even more stunning. I can feel the cool breeze on my face while enjoy ice-cold glass of beer.
If you look for craft beer, 342 bar offers Chalawan beer (pale ale). I didn’t try but it was recommended item on the menu.
Next time maybe;)
Next time I will introduce some really places for shopping. Stay tuned!
